17th January 2022

1 year, 288 since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020.

Finally the weather is bright and sunny which was good as I had a meeting in Richmond outside with four other people from y photo club so it would have been rather damp otherwise. We met outside at Tide Tables cafe next to Richmond bridge and I couldn’t not take a photo of the beautiful blue sky and reflections of the boats and building as I walked across the bridge.

We spent 1.5 hours discussing the problem of not having other a Vice President or President for the coming year. Myself and two others are in the frame for President but none of us want the role although we are all very happy to help out in any way we can. The meeting finally wound up after Wendy and myself agreed we would take the role of Vice President jointly for the coming year but that neither of us want the progression to President in March 2023. Lorraine will stay on for a second term.

Afterwards I walked along to Waterstones to ‘de-Christmas’ my spinner. I was very pleased to find that I literally only had six cards remaining from the original two deliveries I had made and the majority of my Richmond cards have totally sold out! I need to invoice for 109 cards after taking off the exchange with Christmas cards.

Back on the bus to see Colin who had been golfing in the morning.

I have finally started to book our trip to Spain and have booked the return ferries gaining a nice discount via the Boundless membership that Colin has and also the first of seven different places that we are going to be staying at. I always feel better when researching and booking trips away despite the fact that Monday 17th of January is meant to be the most depressing day of the year - not so bad for me!
Gorgeous, so bright and clear
