16th January 2013

Driving back through Bushy Park this afternoon, the temperature was dropping and the mist starting to form. The Diana Fountain is one of Teddingtons most well known sights and a couple of years ago the fountain was totally refurbished and re-gilded.

The lake is starting to freeze over and the ducks and swans are standing on the ice, we’ll have to bring some bread and seed over this weekend for the ducks although they are actually quite fussy as they get so much food this time of year. Still got my fingers crossed for snow this weekend!
my fingers are crossed too ~ looks like we are in for a load of it here 10-15cm predicted friday for my part of the world

Lovely shot

It looks cold too. Love the ball of mistletoe in the tree behind the fountain!

@alisonp - I know snow is a big problem for commuters but I would like to see just a bit, fingers crossed for you! @nicolaeastwood - Well spotted, although the tree at Hampton Court is the best I have ever seen for Mistletoe but way too high to grab a sprig for Christmas (lower in the hawthorn trees by the Longford)!

Nice shot. I'm a sucker for a nice bit of silhouette!

Everything is working in that silouette - the lacy trees forming the background, the solid statue and the activities of the birds. Captures life - the ongoing and the everychanging - the past and the trees with bare limbs yet activity still going on. Tells a story
