25th February 2013

Although the Petronas Towers are impressive, they were almost 'trumped' by the daily monsoon.

I have never seen a monsoon before. From about midday the weather got more and more humid and the temperature went nearer the 40 than 30 degrees. Thunder and lightening rumbled and cracked for half an hour or so from about 3pm before the rain fell - fast and solid. Here is Petaling Street in China Town - after only about 15-minutes of rain the road had flooded to almost a foot deep of water. However, after an hour of rain it stopped and the road drained in just a few minutes.
No different from Wimbledon for much for 2012!! ;0)
