It was touch and go as there was quite a bit of low cloud but with bit of patience (unusual for me), the moon appeared just after 10pm. I was using my 70-200mm f/2.8 which is obviously not the best lens but with a extreme crop you can see some detail.
@danitech I have just looked at your blue moon (18th April?) - it blew my image away. It is stunning, I could not get anywhere near that sharp and close!
I think this is much better exposed - mine seemed blown out in places. Its much harder than I thought, so will keep practicing. I was hoping to take a shot tonight but the clouds have drawn in ...
@danitech It looked impressive last night and was really low in the sky so less neck craning but as I was 'entertaining' my Mum before she goes on holiday I thought I'd better not spend ages in the upstairs bedroom with tripod!
