5th July 2013

An evening trip down to Teddington Lock this evening partly to stretch my husbands back after his recent problems and partly to have another go at photographing the beautiful irises and lavender that the Lock-keepers grow.

Sadly the irises are starting to go over although the lavender is coming out beautifully. Tried a narrow d.o.f. and I dipped down low to catch the evening sun through the petals.
You have chosen your shot beautifully! This iris shines like a star!

Very pretty the way the iris shines and the other colors are muted.

Love the light and colour and dof. Glad your husband is well enough to move around, hope the stretching helps his back.

@maggiemae @danette @tristansmum @helixconcepts Thank you, I must admit I took this shot a week earlier and they are now starting to go over. Thank you all also for the kind comments about Colin's back, he is much better now and working hard at all his exercises (although his physio Jules is being tough with him!!).
