We were at a friends fortieth wedding anniversary lunch today and although I took over 400 photographs, I always feel a bit bad posting photos of other peoples special days.
Instead, here's 'Whisky'! He is a massive marmalade cat and together with his very old and skinny friend 'Soda' (she's nearly 20-years old), are in our charge for two weeks whilst our neighbours are on holiday. I feed them twice a day and they are currently eating fresh cooked fish and rice after a few dodgy stomachs!! Whisky was not sure about the shutter sound and had to be coaxed out from under the table but his stomach soon overcame his caution and this is his lovely patterned 'coat' as he tucks into dinner.
Could this also count for Julys 'word of the day' - animal? (Slight vignette blur applied)
Great closeup of Whisky's lovely fur, I think marmalade cats are especially beautiful. My cat Tristan has just let me know he thinks this should have a fav, and I agree,
@tristansmum Tristan has great taste!! Whisky is a beautiful looking cat but sadly not the brightest, he seem to lack the usual feline agility and often chooses to sleep on our bird table and when I shoo him away, he falls off over the fence (no damage to him I hasten to add)!!
@andreajoy Auburn I think! Absolutely nothing wrong with red, ginger or auburn - am about to comment on your album as I love your 'flowers' in Auckland.
