This is the view from the lower falls of Yellowstone river running through the Yellowstone Canyon. We hiked down three times at different places, braving both very steep steps and a lack of breath!

We spotted a rainbow on our upward journey from ‘Uncle Tom’’ trail but it was not until we walked down the ‘Brink of the Lower Falls’ trail that it really lit up and allowed us a view down the canyon. What is virtually microscopic on this photo on the very far right on the peak of a patch of green moss and grass is the white underside of an ospreys wings taking off to go fishing into the canyon - it is there honest but you’ll need a microscope to see it!
Beautiful look right down this canyon! Hard to imagine any trails here!

Wow this is magnificent Emma! I can't see the osprey even when I view it large but I certainly believe you when you say he (or she) is there. Absolutely a fav for me!

@maggiemae I felt that when Colin suggested we walk some!! @tristansmum I can't see it on this version (too small)... you probably missed the grizzly bear with three cubs at the bottom and a herd of bison in the water as well... just joking!!
