5-hours of baking today to prepare a '70' cake for my Mum who will be 70-years old on Friday the 8th of November. I often make conventional Victoria sponge cakes but this was quite a challenge. The eagle eyed amongst you will notice the sugar bats which featured in my photo on the 31st of October (my Mum is a Dr of Zoology who has specialised in the study of bats in the UK).
