Our hotel room had the most stunning windows in it, another thing I love. They were huge floor to ceiling windows and we tried some silhouette shots early this morning before any passers by were on the ground.
Annoyed about the chopping off of my right arm but all of the other photos were a tad too indecent for display! I also more strongly than anything do not want to upset my hubby at all :)
You can just about make out the crashing waves on the beach at about elbow height in the background beyond the railings of our balcony.
very beautiful, and silhouettes are always cool because they just guide into a certain direction and the viewer's imagination can fill in the rest. I think the railing details add a lot of interest to the shot too. Would love to see a bit more detail in the bottom area (being serious now for a change ;) ), the outline of your body is a bit lost ... still, a great shot and definitely human form style :) I'm thinking how this would look if you crop the darker area on the bottom out ?
@janmaki I'm with you with the definition on the bottom. I had to compromise between the photo and keeping my hubby happy. I didn't want too much on show as friends, family and colleagues all know of my photos and I wanted to keep something for myself! Will try the crop when I'm on the laptop, agree with you there!
@costaricamarc I'm so pleased to hear that! I love silhouettes too, be they buildings or people or just about anything! Hope life is treating you well, nice to see you on here.!
@38mm I'm so on the croppage when I'm on the laptop again. Have hidden the (excuse the pun) bottom part with my hand on my phone screen and I'm 100% in agreement :) There were so many photos I loved but I just couldn't post and now I have to remember not to upload this one to Facebook!. Maybe one day they'll be posted on here. Maybe!
Hey ems, interesting shot here... I totally understand about not wanting to show too much but the photographer in me thinks that this would look amazing with just a bit more light say on one side - more as outline detail than anything else - and keep it black and white. That said I've never been able to pull off b&w images lol... Still, well done you
This is a pretty silhouette. The curve from your back-to-waist-to-hips is really feminine and beautiful. It would not work with clothing on. So cheers to you and your teenie weenie bravery. :-)
Having said that, I really like this as well. There is a air of mystery and fantastic curves to your hips.
Well done you.
