Our school has made huge strides in being more "green". In addition to recycling paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, and such, we have also been encouraged to conserve energy. We are turning off our lights when leaving the room, shutting down all computers and monintors at the end of the day, unplugging energy zappers when not in use, etc...It has made me think it is really not that hard, it is just a matter of changing one's routine. The kids are easy to train. It is us old dogs that need help. Now, if we can just get them to stop using those AWFUL styrofoam trays at lunch! UGH.
@tsburns2001 Thank you, Tammi! @mollyanne31790 Thank you! I wish I could take credit....my student thought of this idea! I took the photo but it was her "vision"! @charli321
Oooooooooooh I love Kermit and I love recycling so this goes straight into my faves! I've been wondering how to do an interesting recycling picture since piles of my recyclables just look like trash (ha!). You nailed it! Love, love, love, love this!!!
Erin, this is my favorite of your March photos. You can never go wrong with Kermit the Frog. We used to have an old, green semi when we worked at Mayflower. We named the truck Kermit and had a Kermit the Frog in the truck as mascot because .... "It's not easy being green".
