I went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens today to photograph the orchids. This isn't an orchid, but I liked the swirl in the leaf.

So strange to see this. Just today I saw begonias like this for the first time and was mesmerized by the spiral in them, much like the one in these. I almost bought them, but thought better... alas, I have a brown thumb, and would be doing them quite a disservice.

beautiful. at first look it reminded me of pencil shaving. but this flower photo is beautiful :)
