Think this is a Common Darter Dragonfly taken by Coombe heath pond Arne.

oh I have not seen a red one before ~ it really stands out on the brown ~ don;t think much of its chances of camouflage :-)

@alisonp The red works supprisingly well againest the bracken and gorse it the raft spiders that get most of them at Arne.
