This former caterpillar is neatly suspended over the surface of the lake, plundering the nectar of a plant that doesn't seem to have petals. He doesn't look worried and he seems contented. At least he was willing to pose for this portrait.
Love your title!!! She really is hanging on, but getting great nourishment I am sure!! Looks like her tail has been torn!! Poor thing, I'll say a prayer for her!!! I love butterflies and it's sad that they don't live very long, but what is so awesome is the happiness and smiles they bring when you get to see one!!! FAV!
