Magic Moment

square-september SOOC
I was lining up verticals and metering, when this happened. The end of the month is the time to post this shot which I feel has been captured in camera and does not need Photoshop.
great image!

i had a lot of fun with this month, its good discipline to post sooc, but i didn't restrict myself to black and white like you did. I have a new old 50mm lens i want to try out next month, so i will try to keep it going a bit longer .

This is very cool.

@kali66 I absolutely agree about the discipline required for this month's challenge. I have learned a lot about my camera as well as metering, composition, and I have missed my straighten tool and curves in PS the most. I look forward to your experience with the 50mm, and hope you have fun with it.

It is a magic moment, well composed, great textures with that water wall and the flooring and there's a sense of playfulness about the main figures.
Congratulations, Ethel, on doing a month of sooc and black and white, quite an achievement and I think you have crowned it with this shot.

Such a wonderful pic Ethel :)

Beautifully captured Ethel, especially how people interact through the water wall. Well done on getting through a whole month.

I loved the other shot similar to this and this one is so sweet too. It tells a story.

It is great capture. I would think you photographed it in Art Centre Melbourne ? I have seen it while visiting Melbourne this February.

An excellent capture for a rainy day - so well illustrated.

Kid looks terrified, but it's a great shot. Really tells a story and captures a special moment.

Well done for keeping this up for the month. A most impressive feat. And very disciplined too. What a lovely way to end. Such a fascinating shot and perfect in the square and B&W.

@vignouse The end of the month and I am absolutely in awe of your taking on a year of this discipline. I found it interesting and rewarding and above all instructive to technique. It has been fun following along with other people who took on the challenge. I am also in love with my "nifty fifty", Olympus 25mm lens. It has been an adventure not using zoom and a few laughs trying to get into the right spot, especially on days when I was shooting from a wheelchair.
Thank you for the idea of the challenge and the rewards it afforded

This is indeed a magic moment and a simply spectacular shot: I'm astounded that it hasn't gathered more Favs... it certainly has mine. Thank you for your kind comments and your whole hearted participation in September. I'm so pleased you had fun and found it a learning experience.
I confess that at three-quarters of the way through I'm beginning to fade a bit but I shall see it through to the end... encouragement like yours helps enormously.

Ethel, this is full of wonder insofar that I'm unsure whether the child has put his hand to his mouth to emulate the hand on the other side of the glass or as a defence mechanism against something which is beyond his experience. Super!
