I did not know what it was.

What I have learnt thanks to Google is that the white mushroom-shaped bodies are called "apothecia" and carry the seed or the fruit of the lichen.

I think now that the yellow lichen below is a "sunburst" lichen, a species that is used as a reference study model for genomic sequencing.
