In them ole cotton fields back home

When I was a little bitty baby
My mama would rock me in the cradle
In them old cotton fields back home
It was down in Louisiana
Just a mile from Texarkana
In them old cotton fields back home

It may sound a little funny
But you didn't make very much money
In them old cotton fields back home
It may sound a little funny
But you didn't make very much money
In them old cotton fields back home

Oh when those cotton balls get rotten
You can't pick you very much cotton
In them old cotton fields back home

Local wonders challenge: early morning wonders
Looks like these fields are ready. The light falling on them is very pretty- beautiful shot.

Beautiful shot, Diane. Makes me want to drive south!

The early morning light really emphasizes the rows of cotton which then lead the eye to the trees in the background. Beautiful light and beautiful shot.

What a wonderful capture of the cotton field. I remember seeing them in my natal Costa Rica when I was a child.

Now I know what a cotton field looks like. love the way the light changes the color of the cotton plants. a lovely picture with the tree at the back and the yellow plants in front. are those goldenrods? also I have to tell you that I love that song.
