"Imagination is More Important than Knowledge"

I'm not sure I totally agree with the idea expressed in the title of this mural, but I DO like the mural. I know children's creativity is often squelched, but I've also seen too many children with imagination flounder without the basic knowledge to accomplish their goals. I guess a balance is best?

This has been a tough week for many of us. Much of the street art in Baton Rouge celebrates African American culture and history, so today I went looking for some I had not yet photographed.
Such a beautiful piece of art. I certainly agree that there needs to be a balance. Our hearts and prayers have been going out to America

I just put an anonymous quote in our newsletter that said, "Creativity is intelligence having fun." I think that knowledge and creativity are equally important for different reasons and that the two should actually work together. Knowledge should spark creativity and Creativity should inspire knowledge. Great mural and good thoughts!

I had a professor my freshman year in college who told us at the beginning of the semester. “ Facts without interpretation is sterility. Interpretation without facts is baloney.” I’ve never forgotten that. I think we need a balance.
