Edited from a slide whose colors have turned purplish. Why did I use slide film in a cheap point-and-shoot camera? Because my Aunt Alice, with her Argus SLR, took slides and her pictures were great. I wonder what happened to that camera. . . ?
I have the same "wonders" about my father's camera. I have pictures I took with it, the case and a bunch of film canisters, but no camera. Where did it go? While the slide may have aged, your aunt left a piece of herself in you. Great "legacy" shot.
