Here is a taste. As some of you know, a couple of weeks ago, our cat had major surgery to determine what was making him feel poorly. The results came back yesterday. He has irritable bowel disease and lymphoma. We also have a dog who is on major pain meds due to severe arthritis. Not to be outdone, Yesterday, Wilbur, our stalwart guardian, began acting unwell. Off to the dogtor for him. He has a slipped disc.
So this morning, I was scurrying around trying to get all of my tasks done. I was putting laundry away; cleaning the bathroom; feeding parrots, dogs, the cat, the turtle; medicating dogs and the cat, filling up Fred's tank. Oh! There's a lizard taking a sunbath in the irrigation water...I better get my camera! So I went to get my camera. I came back. The lizard was gone, of course. "What is all this...oh CRUD! Evalie...you forgot to turn off the water!" Can you believe it?!
I got out the mop to start mopping up the water and thought, "Wait! Don't waste all that water." I poured some Dettol on the floor, slopped the mop in the middle and proceeded to mop the floor. In the midst of all of that, I knocked the mop bucket over and had to start all over again. All I could think was, "At least it will be well mopped, and I am sure the cabinet under the sink needed tidying anyway." Did I do it the way my housekeeper would have done it? No, she will probably be horrified, especially when she sees all of the dog hair in the mop since I hadn't swept yet! But at the end of the day, the water got cleaned up, and the floor got mopped-ish.
If you have read to the end, you can see why I find this image so appealing.
What a story! I think I would have mopped the floor with my tears!!! And...you still got a beautiful simple photograph to boot! Fav. Love the combo of colors.

Thank you all so much! I am fine. In the scheme of things, this is small grapes. I shared mostly because it was so funny in a chaotic sort of way. There are so many people who would love to have this sort of chaos. It is those people who are brave and strong. I am just a goof! :)
Oh, my goodness! I was exhausted just reading your story so I can only imagine how you felt going through it all. You have a wonderful positive attitude which I find makes all the difference in the world! I love the colors in this photo and your POV! :-)
What a day that was. Stay focussed on the calm and beautiful things. Sounds like you are pretty good at this. All the best with the various animal ailments.
