Our back garden borders a hay field. When the farmer cut the hay, he was unable to cut all the way to the edges, so there is a border of lovely grass going to seed all along the edge between us. Recently, our gardener asked me if it was okay to cut all that down. "No!" I replied. "You need it for photographs." she laughed! We agreed on a compromise.
I love the delicacy of the seed casing as well as the seeds that are left. I also love those rich golden tones of the golden hour sparkling on the cut hay in the background.
