These are another of my favorite tools. I have two pairs of dividers; one pair has skinny legs and this pair, which has thick legs. I use one or the other of them on every project, to mark off the correct length, mark a straight line, find the center of a circle, or layout a series.
I have them all nice and worn in so that the thumb screw rotates smoothly.
@ribbet9 Thank you! Most people remember them more readily from their math classes with a pencil nib on one side.
@mlwerkheiser Thank you very much! I tried to get a photo of the whole thing, but Wilbur dog was behind my chair so that I couldn't get back far enough and I had already run over him several times that day. Although, now that I think about it, he does choose to lie down in exactly the wrong place!
