I was singularly uninspired today, so stood in front of the nicest flower in the garden and took a photo. To compound the noticeable lack of inspiration, I failed to follow the rule of thirds and waited until the sun was at its height so that it didn't add any interest to the image. At least the flower has a pretty color and I got it in focus!
In this world of too-much-tragedy, there's no such thing as "just a flower" if we see the beauty in it and pass it along to others! (Thanks! I needed that!)
I forget that 1/3 rule so often but I have to admit it does work. Often I put more sky in to produce the layered look. This is standing up nicely for you with no wind and great bokeh behind!
