I wanted to practice both framing and using my extension tubes so I thought I would try it out on some basil flowers. I don't have many left because I went on a wild "feed all the basil flowers to the parrots" spree about a week ago. Not much of a framing opportunity with only five tiny blossoms! "Not to worry," said my little brain, "I can still use the extension tubes." I got my shot all lined up, took one practice, and my OCF batteries died. I went inside, and there were no more charged! 🙁 It is a grey and gloomy day, so I definitely needed flash for this photo. Oh, well. My practice image at least shows some of the detail in a basil flower. And all of that lovely creamy, peachy color behind? That is just a bunch of gravel! Who'd a thunk it?!
