What the bottle brush tree leaves behind

I find the bottle brush tree endlessly fascinating in all of its different stages from blossom to seed to branch the next year. This bunch of empty seed pods will be next year's branch and will continue growing further and further apart as the branch get bigger in diameter. How cool is that? My parrot loves to pop these off the branches.
