Artistic Glow

This is a tea light holder I made several years ago out of polymer clay. I have always liked the soft glow from the tea light through the thin layer of clay but had never photographed it before.

I wish I had changed lenses so that I got more of the reflection.
Gorgeous. Lovely color and warmth.

thats very clever of you! It looks translucent though how you did this with clay, I do not know! You have to have all the lights off to see it like this!

@sarasotab Thank you!

@olenadole Thank you very much! I should make more of them.

@rubyshepherd Thank you!

@maggiemae Thank you so much! I used a mix of translucent and pearl clays which were rolled to 2mm in thickness. Over that was the design layer which is .5mm and over THAT is a layer of clear liquid "clay". The sides are only 3mm in thickness. You are right, the full beauty of it is best with lights off, but even unlit, it is an attractive piece. The design layer is gold liquid "clay".

@gaylewood Thank you very much!
