Beautiful shot, Wendy! Glad you got to have some R&R after all you and your family have been through and what a beautiful place to go! Love the composition and slow shutter blur! Fav!
@webfoot Thank you Paul! Yes, more with my ND400 filter! I guess I got a little crazy with it, lol! My poor family had to tolerate me changing out lenses constantly too!
Trying to remember if I've seen this one. Is it far away from the main beaten path? I backpacked all over the park in 2008, about 50 miles along the Teton Crest Trail. If you get Backpacker Mag, they profile Grand Teton NP this month. Great photo, fav!
@klemieux Thank you Ken! Hidden Falls is just on the other side of Jenny Lake. It's a 2 mile hike around the lake or you can take a boat shuttle across. The trail continues up to Insspiration Point and if you keep going, it ends up leading into a canyon area and up to Lake Solitary. I could spend so much more time there!!
Thank you for the info on Backpacker Mag.! I am going to get that for sure!
@exposure4u Lake Solitude is in Cascade Canyon. I camped about a third of a mile from there, last night in the Tetons. My favorite (view -wise) camp site of all time. Perhaps I will post a photo of it tomorrow. I never saw Hidden Falls.
@klemieux Yes, Ken it was Cascade Canyon. I just found our trail guide, because I couldn't remember the name of the Canyon, but it is the same one. Hidden Falls is right at the beginning of the trail just about 1/2 mile from Jenny Lake. I know it was off the main trail a bit and then we had to go back to continue on up Cascade Canyon. Unfortunately we only made it up halfway to Solitude Lake and a huge storm rolled in. We decided to play it safe and head back down the mountain. It was one of our favorite trails we have ever hiked!! I would love to see your photo!
Oh this is just Favulous!!!!!!!! I love the way the falls are coming out of thier secreat place! love the smooth water and the colors of your surrounding's. FAV!
@kiwichick Thank you Lesley! I finally purchased an ND filter. It's the ND400, so it gives you 9-stops. I love it, especially to get the day photos with long exposures!
Thank you for the info on Backpacker Mag.! I am going to get that for sure!
