@brianl Thank you Brian! I was using a polarizing filter for this shot on my wide angle lens. Really helps to bring out the blue sky! Thanks for asking!
@morrisphotos Thank you Terri! I try to get the sun just behind an object or through a tree, so the sun is barely visible, like I did here on the edge of the rock. It causes the sun to flare and not be such a full on shot. Hope that helps!
I'm not surprised, what a glorious day for a hike. Stunning as always. How do you fit in so much hiking while you're working, do you have flexible work hours?
@kiwichick Thank you Lesley! I work part-time evenings (20 hours a week and one weekend a month). This allows me to have most of my mornings free. I also live only 5 minutes from this area I shot above. It's great being so close! I am hoping to switch back to day shift at work now that my kids are older! It's been a good schedule for us over the years so we didn't have to put the kids in daycare. I feel pretty lucky to have a job that is flexible that way!
