This is a one of the larger lakes (covered in snow) up in Rocky Mountain National Park! It took all my courage to walk across this "frozen" lake!! Every step, I thought I heard a crack! I kept trying to assure myself that the elevation was high enough and just look at the others going before me, lol! Well I have to say it's a great feeling to overcome a fear!!
Another stunning shot, Wendy, excellent use of the ultra-wide angle lens and I love the way you managed to inrriduce an air of fantasy into your landscapes. Definitely a FAV for me!.
As an ice fisherman, I completely understand your feelings. Another gorgeous photo, and I especially enjoy the way the clouds seem to echo the shape of the tree. I admire you for getting out there too.
I've been seeing strangely large amount of photos of Hallet Peak this past week, from multiple sources. I think the universe is telling me to get up there soon or something... :)
Woweeee!! I used to feel the same way walking across those frozen ponds. So fun, but hard to know just how thick that ice really is sometimes!
Fave, this is awesome :-)
