I was only able to capture a few shots of these owls before getting chased off. The tree just happens to be just across the parking lot at a Walgreens! The division of wildlife has posted a sign to stay 100 ft. away. Well, I just had to get close enough to get a shot through the many branches. A few others were taking photos too, until we were chased off, with threats of the possibility of getting ticketed in the future. Sure hope to get a better shot of an owl in the future!
Nice habitat shot. Owls don't always have good judgement when it comes to site selection. I was fortunate to find a nest 10 feet from the road last year. Great opportunity.
@ellimae Thank you so much Ellen! I know it! The snow came a day after we had 70 degree weather! It's been crazy, but glad to have the much needed moisture! Hopefully, next time we will have rain!!
@dvarey Thank you Diana! They had the area roped off for the past few days and then today all was taken down! I am thinking the babies left the nest today!
Even though it's frustrating not to get a clearer shot, I'm very glad they were being protected from overzealous sightseers.
