Yes, one more Bandon sunset. I decided to edit and post one more shot taken of the Oregon coastline! This was an amazing evening filled with the changing clouds and colors! I just kept trying to find the best viewpoint, composition, and most of all...keeping my equipment dry! There was one point I thought I was being smart and set up my tripod on one of these large rocks. The waves would come in and swirl around the rock and then a "sneaker wave" came in! I could hear it was going to be a big one as I was composing the shot. As the wave approached the rock I was standing on, I knew I needed to either run or stick it out. I decided on the later and immediately picked up my tripod, lifted it in the air as the wave crashed up the side of me up to my waist! Somehow, I was able to maintain my balance and was never so grateful my backpack was on my back!!! Needless to say, I learned some lessons going to the coast!
this is absolutely amazing!! I still haven't made it that far down the OR coast... can't wait to do so, especially after looking at your photos!! FAV for me!! :)
Amen Nicole - What a terrific shot, Wendy. I imagine you could stay at that spot for hours getting different angles and never get a bad shot. This is just stunning!
So glad you included one more, this is just amazing. You never can tell what those waves are going to do!! Glad your camera gear survived the experience.
