Standing in this raging river in The Columbia River Gorge, it came to me that we are all standing in the river of life. We all come from different backgrounds, with different stories and ultimately, different life trials. Sometimes, for me, just standing in the river and facing life full on with fierce confidence to face life's trials and overcome anything that creates obstacles, is just the challenge I need. I come through these challenges learning more about myself and just what I can endure. I am challenged daily with my photography and the skills and timing to get the light I desire. Sometimes the elements all come together and other times I am disappointed, but always, I find peace in nature surrounded by the environment I love, cherish, and try to soak into my being. It's that peace that awakens my soul and leads me to explore, to imagine whats around the next corner and drives me to the next adventure.
