Taking advantage of some pretty dramatic foggy weather while photographing fall color in the San Juans, I came across this scene and just had to shoot it! The mountainside was all socked in and then patches of clearing started to develop. I waited for some time to see if there would be a subtle clearing of partial mountains and aspens. It was worth the wait! When the fog seems to clutter the mind and soul, sometimes we just need to persevere and wait for that break in the fog that clears the trail to brighter days.
