Another shot, but at sunset, of Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. I was elated to get setup for this shot in plenty of time to watch the clouds roll over the mountains and the shapes and colors forming as the sun set. I was blessed to have a productive two days in one of my favorite National Parks! This is the type of scene that keeps me longing to take the adventure and capture, experience and share it with others. Thank you always for your support!
Another beauty. And a question...I'll be in Colorado Springs visiting my mom in November. I may be able to turn it into a few days of photography as well, and be able to use my brother's car. What would you recommend at that time of year for photography, either in terms of day trips, or something within 4 to 5 hours for a multi-day trip?
@taffy Thank you Taffy! It's definitely a bit tricky that time of year, but if there is snow...I would recommend Breckenridge (about 2 hours away) or Crested Butte (about 3-4 hours away). Please let me know if your have any other questions as you get closer to your trip!
@taffy Actually...Rocky Mountain National Park is also an option! You can snow shoe up to Dream Lake and that time of year could get snow and an amazing sunrise. On the way up there is St. Malo Church...also a great option! (BTW... you can rent snow shoes in Estes Park for about $5.00 a day)
