Both Mukilteo and Discovery Park lighthouses are down right on the water. I've not been to DP in years.....Been awhile since I've been to Mukiteo. Maybe I need to get to both one of these days.
Great night shot, the white building against the darkness makes for perfect b&w contrast. Excellent foreground details and sky. Very well captured. FAV.
@gizathecat I had NO IDEA! Lived here my whole life and never been so I thought today would be the day. I was completely overdressed and ill prepared for 3 hours of hiking! I hate exercise...
@webfoot@lynnb Thanks you guys. I was just laughing with my friend about where I went. She said she woulda' given me a heads up about the challenge of getting there. Had I known it would take 3 hours to complete my photo stop for the day, it's likely I woulda' chosen a different location. When you're half way there, why turn back. I looked like total shit and was nothin' less than a pack mule. It WAS worth it though. x (an exhausted) Betsie
@karenann Howdy sister! The only thing I did was omit the color, add clarity, darkened the edges and added a frame. Nothing extraordinary from what I usually do. I don't have any fancy processing software... I just use Picmonkey. (Can't afford anything right now.). Thanks for the compliment. x Betsie
@digitalrn Rick, you are very kind! Thank you for this compliment. There was a sign on the side I the lighthouse that I had to hide (they're in the process of restoring it). I had to get pretty darned crafty with my shot to get the sign out of my shot. x Betsie
@yarp Thanks Dan! I am having fun with the ND filter that has freaked me out for some time now. Trying to overcome my photography 'fears'... One by one.
