Here is the female cardinal photographed through the dining room window. She is ever vigilant and hard to stalk when she isn't on the nest. Next challenge for me is to try to get a shot of the babies without disturbing anyone.
Wonderful contrast of the sharp feather definition and the soft background. Also her red beak is emphasised with the touch of similar colour in the flowers. Delightful.
Lovely capture Allison! Cardinals are one of my favorite birds. For one thing they are monogamous. So unless they are nesting you usually see them in pairs.
