The Pond in Winter by falcon11

The Pond in Winter

My family gathered at 'the old homestead" to celebrate Christmas today, and we took a walk to the pond after dinner. The light was low, and some of the ice had melted creating these wonderful reflections. Beech leaves in extras: http://365project.org/falcon11/extras/2013-12-21
what a pretty scene, with the trees in the background and the great reflections. sounds like you had a great day!

What a beautiful shot! Isn't it amazing how the warm temperatures haven't melted all the snow. Love how you were able to capture those reflections in the pond just broken up with the ice. Like that you did this in b&w.

The square shape might indicate a stock pond if it was here in Idaho. I like the tree reflections broken by the ice.

This is gorgeous in black and white! Love the contrast of the lines of the trees with the smoothness of the water.
