This 388 acre Nature Conservancy property is 10 or 11 miles off the highway, but worth the trip. This is the view at the end of one of the trails. We saw a pileated woodpecker, millions of fern fronds, fungi, partridge berry, club moss, lots of budding mountain laurel (CT's state flower), three varieties of wild violets, skunk cabbage, and more on our 2.5 mile hike.
