Spotted this amazing tree on my way down the lanes to buy roses...........it's girth must be 14 feet or more, think it could be an ash.........so in the pouring rain instead of grabbing an umbrella grab my camera...what is happening to me? ah, 365!!!!

I love trees!! Great Shot Fanny and I walk my dog in a forest with many fine examples like this one.

@andysg Thanks Andy, it was incredible.....huge and still living which was the best thing, tight dark buds, is that ash? I think so!

I know someone @sabresun who would have see all sorts of faces in this shot ! Wonderful lumps & bumps, you could write a story about this tree !! It looks like it could be Ash & late coming into leaf so that fits !

@fannyb I remember seeing an ancient yew in the churchyard where the farmers market was when we came down to see you. Worth a shot?
