Peaceful Waters by farmreporter

Peaceful Waters

It was so peaceful cruising along the Raisin River listening to country music this evening following the busyness of the last couple of days.
@stephanies I just knew that this was an awesome place to do panorama when I saw it. I even decided to add the element of b&w.
Thank you once again for introducing this aspect of photography to me.

Hello, Wendy. we have been paired on the Get Pushed Challenge. I have had a look through your photographs and, as a city girl, am quite envious of your lovely farm and all the goings-on, which you record on 365. I think you are a 'recording' type photographer, reacting to your surroundings. So, for the challenge, I want you to be pro-active. I want you to bring some cut flowers into your home, set up a table near a window with the light falling sideways onto the flowers and whatever receptacle you have put them in. Build your still life with a few more objects that are sympathetic to the flowers and take your photograph by natural if with as wide open an aperture as you can manage.
Looking forward to seeing your picture!
Best wishes
Jacqui

That should say "by natural light with".

Love this shot. Reminds me of when we used to go to the river camping with the kids when they were little.

@irisr What a wonderful challenge! You are so right - I seldom set up for photographs but am usually reacting or recording.
Doing a still-life will be fun.
Thank you.

Well done Wendy, this is a great pano and what a special place to photograph, it looks so peaceful and undisturbed. Did you view the pic on black? it looks even more beautiful, fav. @farmreporter

@stephanies No - I didn't view it on black until just now. It does look a lot better on black. (I think black should be the default colour for all pics on the home page!)
