B&W Abstract

Sylvia du toit has challenged me to take a B&W abstract shot for this week's get pushed challenge. This is challenging on many levels for me. First, I tend to take colour photos most of the time, and second, I don't do abstract all that well!

I think this is a great shot. You are getting some wonderful shots from these challenges. What a good eye you have!

Well done Wendy. Love the abstract lines & the repeating cross struts making such a strong composition. Like the textured background too.

I would love to see it with just the rough border and not the dark vignette, or a much subtler one as for me it slightly distracts from the fabulous strong lines. But maybe you tried already. So well observed. Well done on the B&W conversion too. Great response to your challenge. Look forward to seeing more.
