Proud Rooster by farmreporter

Proud Rooster

Glengarry County has a rich agricultural history that focuses on the hard work and determination of its' settlers to turn the wilderness into the productive farmland you find today.
However, these bold settlers had little time for the arts so therefore you do not realize how few sculptures there are until you go looking for them.
This proud rooster stands guard at the entrance to a vaccination egg farm that has a strict health protocol.
For the get pushed challenge given to me by Angie @angiedanielle24 who asked me to photograph an interesting piece of street/town/city art and give it a unique 'twist' e.g. Angle, POV, processing'
Converted this to B&W.
@angiedanielle24
I classify this piece more of as an overgrown garden ornament but he is certainly fun to see!

Um I suppose that is true in a lot of agriculture areas. Good for you for hanging in there.

Thanks for sharing. Talking of " egg farm that has a strict health protocol. " Long ago my husband worked for a chicken farm. That protocol is a story for another day.

When I saw this I instantly thought of the Kellogg's cornflakes rooster - have you heard of it? If not, here is a link - http://blog.retroplanet.com/character-of-the-week-kelloggs-cornelius-rooster/ I don't remember the advert videos, but they are quite funny to watch.

What a great response to your challenge Wendy and interesting information too.
