52 Week Challenge - Bokeh Pony by farmreporter

52 Week Challenge - Bokeh Pony

Week 47 was the Technical challenge of Shaped Bokeh.
Bokeh was one of people’s favorite weeks last year. This year we take it a step further and create a scene using shaped bokeh.
This shot is also a get pushed response. Northy @northy challenged me to incorporate tin foil into my photography and I chose to crinkle it up and use it as a background. I experimented using low light and long exposure early in the morning (this one and my favourite), low key (didn't get the result I wanted), and a high key type shot.
This rocking horse is actually a piggy bank given to me when I was 8 years old, and that was 53 years ago. I have kept her and treasured her all these years. She is missing the stopper to close the hole that holds the money in, but, no worries. I never had money long enough for that to be a problem!
The image is lovely and made me smile, but your last line made me laugh in sympathy. Yep.

@northy I did this shot bright and early before the sun came up so it actually has a long shutter speed. I quite like it, and added shaped bokeh along with the tin foil bokeh for the 52 week challenge.

Lovely effect - I must try this with the tin foil! I know what you mean about the empty piggy banks - I have a few dotted around the house 😊
