Footprints in the Snow

One of my elementary school teachers wrote a short poem in my autograph book that I never forgot (back in the days when autograph books were all the rage!)
It went:
Life is like a field of freshly fallen snow,
Be careful how you step on it,
For every step will show.
wait a minute! why do you have snow? okay, keep it there with you please! 😀

@summerfield
It is now mostly gone but it did make for a great photo opportunity when it was here. This was taken the same day as my frozen macro mushroom shot.

A beautiful poem and lovely image. I must admit that I was thinking of the day Winnie the Pooh and Piglet got lost in the snow!

Too funny! I could have used that for my landscape story challenge if I had thought of it!

She was right too! Love these footprints walking over the snowy fields & along down the dip & beyond.

A beautiful poem and what a wonderful thing to put into your autograph book. It really gave you something to hold onto all these years. Fav!
