Raisin River Rapids by farmreporter

Raisin River Rapids

With daytime highs only reaching -20C (-4F), it has been far too cold out to go on a photo shoot.
But I did stop by a couple of spots, hop out of the truck for less than two minutes, and grab some shots with my new lens.
Since this is a rapids, this is the only open water to be found in Glengarry (other than the mighty St. Lawrence which is also well on its way to freeze-up).
While I dd like the original colour version of this shot - I found the B&W edit with PicMonkey really made this seem like the cover of an old fashioned Christmas card.
I really did not think about composition while I was shivering, but still was very happy using my new lens anyway!
Beautiful landscape shot

Beautiful cold photo.

Very cool pattern in the river with the snow. Works nicely as a black and white.
