The 52 week challenge is asking us to look ahead to the New year - New beginnings - New you. Interpret as you wish.
We are particularly proud of this group of young ewes who are expected to lamb for the first time in mid-March. They are the daughters of our best ewes, from a ram that has proven himself with us over the past two years.
These girls are the first group of ewes we have kept out of this ram. Of course, we are hopeful that all will go well; that they will lamb out lots of twins and triplets, and do so with ease, and be as good mothers as their mothers were.
But, they are yet unproven. They carry the hopes and dreams of another spring lambing, of watching the lambs frolic with their moms on lush green pastures.
We expect all to go well but only time will tell. We faithfully monitored and recorded every event, did everything we could to ensure success - and now we wait.
