Very strange. This taxi has been sitting with flat tires in this empty lot for years. I have always admired the vintage look, thinking that it belonged in a movie.
So I finally stopped to grab a couple of shots one rainy morning under the watchful eyes of the convenience store owner on the lot next door. I did not think anything of it.
That very afternoon, just a couple of hours later, as I drove by to pick up the kids for my afternoon run, the taxi was gone!
I am a suspicious sort and wondered whether this taxi fulfilled another duty, acting as a drop off for drugs or such and my interest in it sounded alarms.
Hubby thinks it was just mere coincidence and it happened to be sold on the same day. It is a good thing I stopped by when I did if that is the case!
Makes you wonder if you hadn't stopped for your photograph would the taxi still be there. My mind is like yours I think :) Still, a great shot for you. Love your processing, suits your subject well, especially when viewed on black :)
