Bee Mine by farmreporter

Bee Mine

The bees were going crazy around my Rugosa Rose that is heavy in bloom at the moment. I tried to get a good macro shot of one in flight but all I could get were the back side of them.
Taking shots of bees in flight is a good exercise in patience and quick response. Besides, it is quite therapeutic to stand outside taking in the peace and tranquillity of a garden while doing it!
This was actually taken on June 17, (Father's Day) but put here to fill a hole.
I noticed that Debbie @deborah63 also posted a similar shot today. I like hers better!

What a huge bee. Our bees seem a bit smaller. Great shot !

Nicely captured Wendy. It is a fun a frustrating pastime trying to capture bees and hover flies. They move around so quickly don't they 😄

@paul10
The most frustrating thing is that they always have their butt to you - would love to get a head on shot!
