Barn cats are a joy to have around. They run out to greet you first thing in the morning and manage to get under your feet to trip you up even before you have had a cup of coffee.
They never complain, but just do their job of keeping mice and other varmints out of the barn in all types of weather.
Some have been known to go for miles with me during my rambles around the farm, while others laze around the barn close to their food bowl.
Every barn should have at least two cats.

Barn cats are not like regular cats. They are a very independent lot and tend to come and go as they please. We would find new ones at the feed bowl one day, and gone the next and back again in a week.
This is actually a collection of the multitude of barn cats that have come and gone over the 16 years we have been here.
One of them, top centre and centre right, was an indoor / outdoor cat. He wanted to be indoors more than he was, but had an annoying habit of jumping up on kitchen counters.

Yep! I couldn't very well post a collage of cats for the challenge without Rocky being the star!
When are you going to post a pic?
