A Day At the Fair by farmreporter

A Day At the Fair

I am taking a camera course that is not allowing any post processing so I will be occasionally inflict my SOOC shots on you.
This week's lesson is using the exposure compensation button to get proper exposure quickly and easily.
This was actually a tough shot of a black cow being led by the competitor dressed in white in the blazing hot sun.
I'm pretty pleased with it considering it is SOOC.
That sounds like a course I should be doing, as I can very seldom post any shot sooc. I like this one.

@deborah63
Actually - I would have liked to take out the blown out high lights around his face but .... not allowed!
It is a great exercise to show how much control we have in camera to fix lighting conditions.

@farmreporter It would definitely make you think twice before you hit the button. :)

Well done.

Great shot and great lighting. I wish I had the time to learn more.........

I think you did well considering your conditions. The bright sun always makes it difficult to get the light right.

do you guys show at the royal agri fair in toronto?

@summerfield
We do not have dairy cows - just sheep. And no, we do not show at the Royal.
There are people from Glengarry that show at the Royal and often do quite well there. The Royal is supposed to be one of the most prestigious shows in North America and you have to qualify in order to get there.
