My get pushed partner Lynda @lynbonn said "Since you are doing self-portraits, why not do one with backlighting? Maybe in the golden hour?"
We have not had a lot of sunshine (at least when I actually had time to enjoy it) so I decided to trek out to the old abandoned house for some exercise and relaxation as well as to do a bit of a photo shoot.
The light coming in from the back window is as close as I could get to back lighting.
I am getting more comfortable in front of the camera which is a good thing.
This is SOOC, BTW because I did not like any of the photos when I was looking through the RAW files and deleted every one of them as I went. I cursed under my breath when I got to the end and realized I did not have a shot for the challenge.
It's a good thing my camera has both a RAW and JPEG slot so I did have my JPEG's to fall back on!
Here's my selfie, Lynda @lynbonn. Thank you for helping me get over the selfie nervousness ... still not real comfortable but getting better bit by bit!
This has a real old fashioned look to it, you just look like you are sitting in your cabin by the fire reading to the kids! A real outback photo! You have gorgeous hair if you don't mind me saying so.
@happypat
Thank you, Pat - and I have never coloured it either! Hubby does not want me to cut it but I do trim it every so often (it's due for one at the moment!)
I didn't take a book - the book was left on the chair when the people left., Makes me wonder how they left and what made them go.
Thank you. I was pleased with the soft light coming in but was so glad I brought the tripod since it was not very bright.
Don't think I will ever do the 52 pom challenge - just not that comfortable yet.
